Hexagram 11 for love
Hexagram 11 Prosperity in love and relationships
Tai is heaven below and earth above, each moving toward the other until they meet: the I Ching's image of two parties in full communication. For a relationship it is the sign of a bond where both sides come forward — the strong lines rising, the yielding lines fluttering down willingly — and its fifth line is a king giving his sister in marriage to a man below his rank. 'The small goes, the great comes': the petty leaves and what matters arrives.
The lines are stages of that meeting. One and two are the party who advances, generously and without cliques; four and five are the party who comes down to meet them, sincere without being asked. Three, at the boundary, is the first awareness that no plain lacks a slope, and six is a wall collapsing back into its moat — the closeness undone by long neglect. A changing line in the lower trigram asks how you are approaching; in the upper, how you are receiving, and whether you have stopped tending it.
The hexagram in brief
Earth above and heaven below, their energies meeting and mingling. The small departs, the great arrives: open communication, prosperity, a flourishing time.
Enjoy it, share it and tend it: good times last longer when you stay humble and keep the channels open.
