Hexagram 3 for work
Hexagram 3 Sprouting for work and career
In work Zhun is the launch that is harder than expected: the project is real, the energy is there, and every step meets mud. The judgment says 'great success, favourable to be steadfast', and then two conditions — do not set out on a venture yet, and do appoint helpers (利建侯). The Great Image shows the superior person weaving order out of the tangle (經綸), which is the whole method: structure before speed.
For a project or a new position, the lines locate where you are stuck. The first line is the founder who should spend this stage recruiting rather than pushing; the third line is the person pursuing a target with no one who knows the terrain, who should pull out; the fifth line is a manager whose authority does not yet reach the floor and should confine themselves to small corrections. The fourth line is the one place where going forward works, because it goes toward the right partner. A changing top line says the attempt has run out of road and must be reset.
